Name: Samuel Cosmi

College: Texas

Height: 6’6”

Weight: 314 lbs

Arm Length: 33”

Overall Rank: No. 36 overall

Position Rank: OT5

Strengths: A three-year starter at left tackle for the Longhorns, Cosmi has the athleticism and technique of an NFL starter. He’s incredibly agile in space and easily reaches defensive ends and linebackers in the run game. He’s poised enough to not get rattled at left tackle and slides with smooth feet. Cosmi’s punch timing and impact are solid. He’s stable in his pass set and doesn’t lose body control or balance. In a zone blocking scheme he’ll have very good value thanks to his first-and-second-level mobility. Cosmi still has a relatively lean frame that could still add mass and strength as he ages and develops.

Weaknesses: Cosmi can struggle at times to finish blocks in the passing game. He doesn’t explode out of his stance and get into his sets as quickly as he’ll need to in the NFL. He can become robotic and hesitant instead of reactionary. His punch accuracy tends to get wide. He needs to get a little stronger in the run game.

What I Love: Texas players get a reputation for being soft, but Cosmi plays with an alpha mentality in the run game. He’s among the most fiery of the 2021 offensive tackles.

NFL Comparison: Brian O’Neill

Grade: 84/100

Hi Matt — I know you’re taking some criticism for dropping these profiles one by one. To me it seems more a matter of organization. Why not have standing subpages for each position with your top 10 (or 20 or whatever) where you link out to each profile as you drop them. That way it feels less scattered/haphazard.

Anyway, that’s for all the info and engagement.

Hey Matt! A more general question but as an Eagles fan, what should I be expecting at 12? Lord knows Howie Roseman is unpredictable so your opinion would be interesting to me hahah
