Any thoughts to the reports that Ravens would've selected Leatherwood at 27? Vic Tafur mentioned league sources said they would've taken him there. Ben Allbright mentioned it as well. Still think it might've been the Vikings who Mayock talked about having a offer to trade back from, since it was a team that needed a tackle too. And Zimmer mentioned they almost traded back up in his news conference. Still would've preferred the Raiders trade back to 23, if that is who it was, and select Leatherwood there. At least get an extra pick.
I just wanted to add to this list that I think there are two more underrated picks for the Panthers as well:
RB Chuba Hubbard, Oklahoma St
Mike Davis became the starter after CMC got hurt. Knock on wood that does't happen again, but regardless Hubbard has good size and explosive speed to complement McCaffrey's gamel. He had the one magical year at OKST, so while he's maybe not meant to be a lead back he might be a great spell.
WR Shi Smith, South Carolina
With the loss of Curtis Samuel, the Swiss army knife of OC Joe Brady's offense, many believe that Smith has the wiggle and toughness to fill in that role.
The media never received good intel that it was Mac Jones though. The media assumed based off lazy narrative of what Kyle wants in a qb in the past and never heard anything from Santa Clara. Even people in the building didn’t know and the owner didn’t know until the week of the draft. Media looked down on 49er fans but it was what we said 49ers don’t leak and media is the total cause of this rumor, not the 49ers. And York, Lynch & shanahan have basically confirmed this
Panthers were very solid. instead of drafting a LS I wish we could have doubled up and gotten another IOL. Eager to see if Darnold can cut it now. Our offense should be top 10 easily

Andrew Berry has been amazing with his first two years as GM, putting together such an impressive looking roster and helping make the team one players are excited to go to. Several sources, including Jim Nagy, have said that multiple teams had Leatherwood with a round 1 grade.
