Matt- wondering what you think the Jets do at 23. You mention that teams are looking for LT's in the mid 20s and most of the best available tackles project at RT which would be great for the Jets to pair with Becton. If Vera Tucker slips is he the play or should we just expect a CB in this spot and an OL at 34 (where I fully expect JD to trade back to someone coming up for Etienne or someone else who slips out of round 1)
Last week you said everyone around the league thinks the Giants are gonna pick receiver, now apparently they're picking an Edge? Did something change or were people just incorrect?
Matt, you always your mocks are not reflective of what you would do, but based on what you are hearing. In your last 2020 mock on April 23, 2020, you have Henry Ruggs, III to the 49ers at 13 (with Kinlaw still on the board) and Ceasar Ruiz at 31. You also suggested they would trade down from 31 to recover picks in the 2nd and 4th rounds. Did you not hear the leaks that ESPN’s Dan Graziano says are so prevalent?
The 2019 pick of Nick Bosa was a foregone conclusion for a year no matter who the team was. It was referred to as the "Bosa Sweepstakes" all season.
2018, you projected Roquan Smith but suggested there was a rumor about Mike McGlinchey. Kudos!
2017, you project Jamal Adams as the 49ers pick at #2 with a caveat "we've heard for months that the San Francisco 49ers are considering Solomon Thomas, Leonard Fournette, Reuben Foster and Marshon Lattimore." I question whether this is a leak or a series of smokescreens and rumors used to generate trade interest.
part of it is 100% not hearing the same information as others; some of it is being flat-out lied to (which you don't know until after the fact, of course).
But as you noted...2018 the McGlinchey rumor existed and Roquan was off the board.
And in 2017, the 49ers were very in on Jamal (per his camp and scouts) but went with two of the players I mentioned there.
So, I do think it's pretty easy to connect the information to the picks.
calling out the raiders for cutting hurst but then not signing him. seems like they just wanted to b*tch about something
Yo, Matt - when will you be dropping the updated 7 Round Mock??? - Thanks, keep killin it man
Thursday morning!
Matt, given what you said about the Chargers is Greg Newsome in play at 13?

Who do you think GB picks at 29?
I wouldn’t be surprised to see the chargers skip out on a OT and pick a blue chip player at 13. Why? Orlando Brown Jr.
You mention 8 QBs by end of Round 2. What are your thoughts/what are you hearing on Kellen Mond? What's the farthest you think he could fall?
I would be surprised if he got past New Orleans or Pittsburgh in Round 2
Thanks, I appreciate the response.

Why wouldn’t the Dolphins pick either Slater or Sewell at 6? One of them is likely to be there. Are you hearing that they don’t like either of them?
Just hearing that they like the OL they have
