2022 NFC Breakout Players: Predicting 16 Impact Players
Every season we see new players breakout and become important starters for their respective franchises. It doesn’t mean instant superstardom, but the 16 players listed below are our projections to become key contributors for their teams and locker rooms. Maybe that means going from backup to starter or going from solid starter to really good player. But we’re betting on jumps for these players.

Cowboys — TE Dalton Schultz
The tight end position will be featured heavily thanks to the underneath accuracy of Dak Prescott and Schultz is primed to breakout in this role. Not only is he a smart fantasy play, he’s a smart franchise building block.
Giants — OLB Kayvon Thibodeaux
This list was made before his MCL injury in preseason Week 2, but we’re still bullish on Thibodeaux becoming a force off the edge of this defense. With Azeez Ojulari on one side (another breakout candidate), the Giants’ pass rush could be scary good.
Eagles — QB Jalen Hurts
We’re big Jalen Hurts fans around here. He’s looked looser this preseason and much more accurate after tweaking his throwing motion. The arrow is pointing way up on him as a starting quarterback and franchise leader.
