Tylan Wallace 2021 NFL Draft Scouting Report
Name: Tylan Wallace
Position: WR
College: Oklahoma State
Height: 5’11"
Weight: 194 lbs (pro day)
Overall Rank: No. 101 overall
Position Rank: WR16
Strengths: Wallace is a tough-as-nails competitor with excellent production in the Big 12 over the last two years. He’s a poised pass-catcher with toughness in his release and routes. He’ll battle press coverage and catch points. He’s almost calm and is under control in his movements. He’ll make tough catches in traffic and isn’t afraid to sell out his frame to secure the ball. He’s smart in his timing on routes and knows when to shoot his hands or come back to the quarterback to make himself a bigger target.
Weaknesses: Wallace doesn’t wow you with athleticism or size. He’s a little lean, doesn’t have long arms, and doesn’t have the speed to run away from sticky coverage. He didn’t see many elite cornerbacks in college, which makes his projection tougher. A lack of burst and twitch in his game could hold him back.
What I Love: Wallace is the wide receiver in this class you’d want to have your back in a fight. He’s that kind of tough and plays with undeniable swagger.
