The State of College Football: Week 7
A big shake up in the top 25 rankings but the same No. 1 and the same Heisman favorite - for now...
Welcome to another glorious week of college football! The week before brought us a ton of upsets and shitting rankings. This week brings a similar shake up as we start to get ahold on who the top teams are. Texas won easily over OU, Oregon shows that it’s here to run the Big Ten and the SEC continues to be the toughest conference. This week we will update the top 25, College Football Playoff Bracket, Heisman voting, Where I was Right and Wrong and look ahead to next week’s games. It’s a loaded State of College Football this week. Let’s get into it!
Let’s welcome Army and Navy to MY top 25 but also to the AP Top 25 for the first time since 1960!
College Football Playoff Bracket as of right now.
I still can’t look at this bracket without thinking the No. 5 seed has the easiest road to the National Championship. Play Boise, Iowa State and then the No. 1 seed. But the No. 1 seed is going to take on a tough, most likely, SEC team.
It’s Never Too Early for Heisman Talk!
A weekly look at the movement of the Heisman candidates.
Stock UP:
Dillon Gabriel, Oregon: The Ducks had the big game on primetime Saturday night and they did not disappoint. In fact, many people picked the Ducks to lose to Ohio State. That was not the case on Saturday and now Gabriel is in my top four for Heisman contenders. Another big game or two and he might just take the top spot.
