Situational Mock Draft
We've got you covered with WHO teams will draft already but this mock will explore team options and what could happen with the draft board.
1. Chicago Bears (from Carolina) — The Bears find themselves with the No. 1 pick again this year but it feels like this is the year they change QBs. They had a nice run with Fields but Williams is too good to pass up. And they probably should have taken Stroud last year. Oops. Chicago doesn’t want to make that mistake again. The Bears take a QB and it’s most likely Caleb Williams
Team Needs: QB, WR, C, DL, CB
2. Washington Commanders — The Commanders, much like the Bears, decided to roll with their young QB last year, and I honestly like that decision, but they are in need of a franchise QB for sure now. Sam Howell played well at times but it wasn’t enough to keep Washington out of the top spots. The Commanders get their QB of the future in this draft. They might even make a push to get to No. 1 but it sounds like the Bears will want too much to make that happen. Drake Maye once again takes over for Sam Howell.
Team Needs: QB, TE, DE, CB, OL, LB
3. New England Patriots — It’s still weird to see the Pats drafting this high and it’s going to be even weirder seeing them draft without Belichick calling the shots. Wild Bill took Alabama QB Mac Jones in 2021 and now it’s time to find a QB again. Or is it? I think New England most likely goes with a QB but do they want to draft Jayden Daniels (LSU) this high? I think the Pats could be a candidate to trade down for a team looking to get Daniels, a receiver or even OT or edge. There are endless possibilities for NEw England and they are a big wild card without Belichick now.
Team Needs: QB, WR, LT, DE, CB
