Quinn Meinerz 2021 NFL Draft Scouting Report
Name: Quinn Meinerz
Position: Center
College: Wisconsin-Whitewater
Height: 6’3”
Weight: 320 lbs
Arm Length: 33 3/8”
Overall Rank: No. 74 overall
Position Rank: IOL5
Strengths: Arguably the winner of the 2021 Senior Bowl, Meinerz established himself as capable of handling higher levels of competition coming from the Division III level. A stout, stocky, powerful lineman with a mean streak, Meinerz didn’t see a drop off against the best seniors in the nation. Meinerz didn’t have a 2020 season and clearly put that time to good use working on his technique. Using the Senior Bowl as a guide, Meinerz drastically improved his hands and timing in pass protection. His always good reactionary strength and agility now pairs with the right punch technique and footwork to allow him to stonewall defenders. Meinerz has the drive, toughness, and mixture of size and athleticism to become a fixture at center.
Weaknesses: Meinerz Senior Bowl tape is the best he’s put out as his 2019 game tape wasn’t as exciting. There has to be concern that while he dominated in Mobile he hasn’t looked like that on game tape. Establishing better poise and patience will suit him better in the passing game where he can be overly aggressive.
What I Love: Any offensive lineman comfortable enough to rock the crop-top jersey at the Senior Bowl gets a lot of love from me. Also, Meinerz is a bully to defenders and that’s fun.
