Completed Trades:
Buffalo Bills trade for WR Amari Cooper (Cleveland)
Kansas City Chiefs trade for WR DeAndre Hopkins (Tennessee)
New York Jets trade for WR Davante Adams (Las Vegas)
Latest Rumors:
Everyone wants to know which wide receiver is next to be moved, and there has been considerable buzz surrounding Cooper Kupp (LA Rams), but that deal would involved LA being willing to eat a large chunk of Kupp’s $9 million that he’s still owed this season. Of the contenders who need a wide receiver and can afford to acquire Kupp, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys stand out as legitimate options. But before we have a new President, I expect Kupp to be on another team.
Will Tee Higgins get moved? The Bengals have not been able to sign him long term, and the last time we checked in with his reps there was no movement on a new deal. At all. The Bengals are still competitors, though, so it’s unlikely Higgins would get moved in-season. Instead, Cincinnati seems content to collect a future third-round compensatory pick when he leaves as a free agent.
