Why did Bo Nix transfer to Oregon from Auburn? Explaining QB's move from  SEC to Pac-12 | Sporting News

We’ve all seen the mock drafts, the big boards and the position ranking. Those are fun and nice and a great look at players and value. But sometimes you just like a player. You might like his size, his fit on your teams or maybe just the way he throws the ball. For whatever reason we all have guys that we’re just rooting for. We often label these guys as “my guys” and we all have them whether we label them or not. Here are “my guys” for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Quarterback:
Bo Nix, Oregon — Let’s be honest, I didn’t like Nix at Auburn. It felt like there was a lot of hype around him and he never really lived up to - maybe that’s not his fault. However, he more than exceeded the hype during his time at Oregon. In two seasons with the Ducks, Nix completely changed his reputation. I’m not as high on this quarterback class as most but I like the value of Nix compared to taking one of the other QBs in the top 5. Finding Nix on Day 2 would be a dream but I have a feeling there are a few teams that feel like I do. And that might elevate him to Day 1.
