Name: Jamin Davis
Position: Linebacker
College: Kentucky
Height: 6’3 1/2”
Weight: 234 lbs (pro day)
Overall Rank: No. 18 overall
Position Rank: LB2
Strengths: Davis is as impressive as they come from a height, weight, speed standpoint at the linebacker position. He moves effortlessly in space and has the closing speed and burst to quickly change directions and impact the play. A three-down wrecking ball, Davis was all over the field for the Wildcats as a run-stuffer, pass-rusher and coverage ‘backer. He fits the modern vision for a MIKE or WILL linebacker with his comfort in space and quickness. Overall athleticism, balance, and body control are all high-level for Davis. His ability to match up in man coverage against tight ends or crash the backfield as a blitzer should be very appealing to NFL defensive coordinators.
Weaknesses: A lack of experience (11 starts) which can result in underdeveloped instincts could be the biggest hurdle for Davis’ NFL transition. He’s excelled thanks to his athleticism in college but must become more technically sound in terms of taking on blocks and reading cues in pass coverage.
What I Love: Three-down defenders are so valuable and that’s exactly what Davis is. Unleash him as a coverage man, blitzer, edge-rusher or old-fashioned stack linebacker and let him flourish.

Really disappointed with this random scouting reports Matt. I subscribed because I loved your concise ,complete breakdowns of each position & the multitude of players in each position you analyzed. Now ,it seems we're not getting that. I don't mind paying for a site, but when I'm getting less than I did when it was free, is very disappointing!
