Day one of “legal tampering” is in the books, and it’s been a wild day to say the least. And that doesn’t include the trades, re-signings and moves made as teams rushed to sign recently released players over the weekend.

The frenzy started on Sunday night as moves dominated social media and had us wondering if any players would be left to acquire on Monday. But huge signings—including Justin Fields, Sam Darnold and Milton Williams—rocked the NFL landscape and have us re-configuring our mock drafts.

So what went down and how does it impact the draft? We’re going team-by-team to break it down.

Tennessee Titans — No. 1 pick

Additions: T Dan Moore Jr., DL Sebastian Joseph-Day, LB Cody Barton

Impact: The talking heads saw Dan Moore sign and immediately assumed that the Titans would then draft quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick. We’re here to disagree. Moore signing shouldn’t be viewed as solidifying anything at No. 1. The Titans needed to shore up the right tackle spot and signing Moore allows second-year player JC Latham to move back to that side of the field, which is where he played at Alabama. The Titans remain open for business with plenty of options here.

Cleveland Browns — No. 2 pick

Additions: QB Kenny Pickett (trade), DE Myles Garrett (extension)

Impact: The Browns have been very quiet as we wait for the market to settle down—but they did lock up Myles Garrett to an extension that keeps him in town for the rest of his career. The trade to acquire Pickett gives the team a cheap quarterback but we still think they’re in position to draft a passer early in this draft—at pick. No. 2 or maybe No. 33.

New York GIants — No. 3 pick

Additions: QB Tommy DeVito (re-signed), TE Chris Manhertz (re-signed), DL Roy Robertson-Harris, CB Paulson Adebo, P Jamie Gillan (re-signed)

Impact: The Giants have exactly one quarterback on the roster—DeVito—and are still very much alive for the remaining free agents like Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson while still being alive for a quarterback at No. 3 overall. Basically nothing the Giants have done so far impacts the draft.

New England Patriots — No. 4 pick

Additions: QB Josh Dobbs, OT Morgan Moses, DE Harold Landry, DT Milton Williams, LB Khyiris Tonga, LB Robert Spillane, CB Carlton Davis

Impact: The signing of Williams at defensive tackle is the one to note. That move likely eliminates the Patriots as a destination for Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham. Morgan Moses at right tackle keeps all the top offensive tackles still in play at No. 4 overall.

Jacksonville Jaguars — No. 5 pick

Additions: QB Nick Mullens, WR Dyami Brown, TE Hunter Long, T Robert Hainsey, CB Jourdan Lewis, S Eric Murray

Impact: Jacksonville has been aggressive but the moves aren’t exactly inspiring greatness. This is still a team that just needs more good football players. After trading Christian Kirk we could see this being a pass-catcher like Tyler Warren/Colsten Loveland at tight end or one of the top wide receivers.
