Elijah Moore 2021 NFL Draft Scouting Report
Name: Elijah Moore
Position: WR
College: Ole Miss
Height: 5’9 1/2"
Weight: 178 lbs (pro day)
Overall Rank: No. 28 overall
Position Rank: WR5
Strengths: An explosive yards-after-catch receiver with blurring speed in the open field, Moore is able to take the top off a defense in no time. He has fantastic acceleration in the open field and can stretch teams vertically. Moore is also great with the ball in his hands. He runs like a much bigger player and has a tough, competitive mentality. He thrives in the middle of the field and can take short passes and turn them into big plays. If you had to use one word to sum up Moore, it would be “tough”. A natural hands catcher, Moore has a bigger catch radius than his 30” arms would indicate.
Weaknesses: Moore was largely schemed his touches at Ole Miss and must become a more complete route-runner throughout his NFL career. As a downfield threat he has struggled to adjust and track the ball. His lack of size and leaping ability limit his downfield ability.
What I Love: Toughness from a smaller receiver is always fun and Moore brings plenty of it to the table. He’s explosive, always yapping at defenders, and loves to compete.
