Creed Humphrey 2021 NFL Draft Scouting Report
Name: Creed Humphrey
Position: Center
College: Oklahoma
Height: 6’4”
Weight: 302 lbs
Arm Length: 32 1/4”
Overall Rank: No. 65 overall
Position Rank: IOL3
Strengths: A team captain and three-year starter at center, Humphrey has seen it all. He’s a stout, squatty center with good mobility and strength. His football IQ is raved about in the Big 12, as is his leadership and experience. He’s NFL ready from a mental standpoint and could start as a rookie making line calls. Humphrey uses his angles and leverage well to block bigger men and has the agility to do damage in space. He’s tough, as well, with a finisher’s mentality and a mean streak to match it. He’ll put defenders on the ground and let them know how they got there. His fiery play and football IQ make him a favorite of players—both teammates and competitors.
Weaknesses: Short, light, and short-armed is a tough list for a center. Humphrey won’t check many boxes on the size portion of the scouting report. His lack of overall strength makes Humphrey a light anchor when there is a head-up nose tackle on him. He’s much better suited for a zone scheme than man. His lack of length does show up with defenders rocking him off his spot.
What I Love: It’s very rare to write that a center is a tough SOB and that he’s the smartest player in the class at his position, but that’ Humphrey.
