To start – let’s get the pleasantries out of the way. I’m Corey, and as you probably read on Monday; I have joined on as a contributor here with The Draft Scout. I’m extremely excited and grateful to be here. My goal here will always be to provide you with great football stories, noteworthy content, and most importantly; enjoyable conversations about the sport we all love.
A little about me – I’m a sportswriter and reporter, covering the LSU Tigers for USA TODAY’s SMG, LSU Tigers Wire. I also write weekly stories and player profiles for Coast to Coast Scouting. I’m a father of boys and avid fan of beer, whiskey, and Boston Red Sox baseball… before they traded Mookie Betts, the second-best player in MLB.
Now, enough about me; let’s dive in and talk ball.
The 2021 NFL draft class has extraordinary depth at various positions NFL teams’ value significantly. Position groups such as wide receiver, offensive line, cornerback, and linebacker are all very strong and deep. The quarterback group is very top heavy, as most who cover the league expect the top five to be gone within the first 10 picks. In rounds two and three, you may find a few quarterback prospects with starter traits; Davis Mills, Kyle Trask, and Kellen Mond, to name a few. I’m not as high on this edge-rusher class as some folks are, and my top 100 players board below reflects that sentiment.
Before we jump in and breakdown how precise my top 100 player list is, I want to give you a top 10 list of “My Guys.” These are players that I am either higher on than most, believe they’ll have more success in the NFL than most do, or just guys I really like as prospects and will enjoy cheering for on Sundays.
