Christian Darrisaw 2021 NFL Draft Scouting Report
Name: Christian Darrisaw
College: Virginia Tech
Height: 6’5”
Weight: 322 lbs
Arm Length: 34 1/4”
Overall Rank: 26
Position Rank: OT3
Strengths: Darrisaw has the ideal height, length and athleticism for the left tackle position. He’s poised and smart and played with a calmness to his game that left him in control of pass-rushers. He’s smooth and quick with natural agility and pop in his step. He’s twitchy for a tackle and has very good recovery athleticism. Darrisaw uses his length well to cut off the edge or reach block. His agility is really his calling card, though, as he’s such a fluid mover and bender. His foot speed matches his hand speed, which is a very nice find in a college tackle. Darrisaw is athletically very gifted and has all the tools at his disposal to become not just good but great.
Weaknesses: You would love to see Darrisaw play pissed off or with more urgency. The calm demeanor mentioned above cam come off as sluggish at times. Being more of a finisher would help how coaches view him. Playing with more fire and more consistency could turn him into a legitimate top 5 NFL left tackle.
What I Love: Everything looks easy for Darrisaw from a movement perspective. He’s truly gifted with a ceiling that’s sky high.
