Andre Cisco 2021 NFL Draft Scouting Report
Name: Andre Cisco
College: Syracuse
Height: 6-0
Weight: 209
Overall Rank: No. 135 overall
Position Rank: S13
Strengths: Cisco is a ball magnet at the safety position. He’s an extremely versatile safety with physical tools and length NFL teams love. He was an interception machine in college, and his style of play could suggest a similar trend at the next level. Cisco is an aggressive hitter who plays with a toughness to his game. A lot of aspects of his game look to come very natural to him. This could be a strength coming into the NFL as long as he understands that patience and timing at the position will need to be that much better at the next level.
Weaknesses: He might be a liability if asked to cover man-to-man against receivers or shifty tight ends. He’s excellent in deep coverage, switching from split to single high; but he’s been beat on more than one occasion when tasked with a man coverage assignment. Cisco isn’t a complete tackler and needs to improve this aspect of his game at the next level.
What I Love: Andre Cisco is a pure playmaker at the safety position. He can be moved around the field and wherever he’s lined up, it never seems to matter as he constantly finds himself making plays on the football. Cisco has the football IQ to know where to be in position and has the athletic ability to put his body in the right position to make a play on the football.
