10 Sleepers To Know For 2025 NFL Draft
We’re going to spend a lot of time writing and talking about players like Carson Beck, Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter and others. But if you’re a diehard football fan—or an NFL agent—and you want to know some names that’ll headline the ‘25 Draft that are outside the national narrative right now…we got you.
It’s important to know and locate the top prospects, but every year we have players come from relative obscurity to the first round.
Jayden Daniels. Michael Penix. Bo Nix. Taliese Fuaga. Quinyon Mitchell. Brian Thomas. Darius Robinson.
None of those names were in the too early mock drafts one year ago, but each were selected in the first night of the ‘24 draft.
Today we’ll look at 10 names to know that aren’t in early mocks, but could end up in the final ones.
1. Conner Weigman, QB, Texas A&M
By now you’ve probably heard that Weigman was impressing scouts in his four starts last year before injury to his foot shut the season down. Weigman was good—eight touchdowns, two more on the ground, two interceptions and a completion percentage of 68.9—but it’s what he can become with new head coach Mike Elko replacing Jimbo Fisher and with Collin Klein at offensive coordinator that has his name buzzing. Weigman brings all the tools to the position—he’s 6-foot-3 and change at 215 pounds with good agility and a live arm. Now, with Klein’s designs for explosive plays, Weigman’s stock is soaring before the season begins. There’s no shortage of talent here, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if we’re talking about Weigman ahead of Carson Beck, Shedeur Sanders and Quinn Ewers in late April.
