2025 NFL Round 1 Mock Draft: Trade Frenzy
Day Two of our "5 Days of Mocks" kicks off with tons of trades in Round 1; including two Hall of Famers on the move
This week we’re trying something new, giving you Five Days of Mocks—each mock draft a different look at what could happen when the 2025 draft kicks off in late April.
Today’s mock draft is our Trade Frenzy Mock. This is mock draft has over 10 teams trading spots and one big veteran on the move via a first-round pick swap.
We’re factoring in team needs, player and positional value, as well as expected moves like retirements (Travis Kelce), free agency (Aaron Rodgers) and trades (Matthew Stafford).
Each day this week you’ll get a fresh mock draft with a different spin on it.
The Tennessee Titans are on the clock. Let’s get it.
*For easy reading, teams making the draft pick are bolded*
1. Tennessee Titans trade to New York Giants (3)
Cam Ward, QB, Miami
The Giants know if they want their guy, they’ll have to move up the board to do it. The good news for this trade—and all trades in this mock draft—is that the cost will not be excessive given the lack of high grades on this year’s quarterback class. The Giants would send pick No. 3, No. 65 and a 2026 third-round pick to the Titans to move up two spots.
2. Cleveland Browns trade to Las Vegas Raiders (6)
Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
Sensing teams like the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints may be trying to move up for a quarterback, the Raiders shoot up the board and secure Sanders before he can be stolen from them. The Browns receive pick No. 6, pick No. 37 and a 2026 second-rounder to move back four spots.
3. New York Giants trade to Tennessee Titans (1)
Abdul Carter, DE, Penn State
The Titans are able to move back, collect two extra picks in this and next year’s draft, and still get the player they wanted all along. Carter is a difference maker at defensive end and is a player the Titans can pair with Jeffery Simmons to build an absolute unit on the defensive line.
