2024 Tight End Scouting Notes
An early look into the 2024 tight end class with stats, comps and notes.
It’s never too early to start looking at the next crop of prospects for the NFL draft - I’ve been on 2024 since mid-April. I’ll be releasing the notes I’ve taken so far on a few prospects - starting with the quarterbacks and releasing a different position group each week. These are not complete scouting reports but some observations I’ve made so far. Enjoy
+ Positives and strengths
- Negatives or needs work
? Questions I still have, things I haven’t seen on tape yet
Brock Bowers, Georgia, 6’4, 230
+ Finds and sits in zones well
+ Used in the slot and as a move tight end, takes a lot of tight end sweeps
+ Good body control and toe-tapping ability
+ Excellent hands and catch radius. Play above the rim
+ Great run after catch ability
- Not asked to do much as a blocker
- Doesn’t line up inline much, most of his reps come from the slot
- Needs to add bulk and strength
? Speed - ability to separate
? Route running - a lot of screens
