It’s never too early to start looking at the next crop of prospects for the NFL draft - I’ve been on 2024 since mid-April. I’ll be releasing the notes I’ve taken so far on a few prospects - starting with the quarterbacks and releasing a different position group each week. This week we look at the running back class.
These are not complete scouting reports but some observations I’ve made so far. Enjoy
+ Positives and strengths
- Negatives or needs work
? Questions I still have, things I haven’t seen on tape yet
TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State, 5’10, 210
+ Ideal build with a low center of gravity and bulk
+ 2021 tape looked elite - first-round type runner (1238 yards, 15 TDs)
+ Catches the ball well out of the backfield
+ One-cut running back with homerun potential. Second level speed
+ Can hit the hole or bounce things outside
- Sophomore season didn’t look nearly as good as his freshman year
- Limited as a route runner and pass protector
? How will he bounce back in 2022,
? Is Miyan Williams RB1 at Ohio State
