2024 Receiver Scouting Notes
An early look into the 2024 receiver class with stats, comps and notes.
It’s never too early to start looking at the next crop of prospects for the NFL draft - I’ve been on 2024 since mid-April. I’ll be releasing the notes I’ve taken so far on a few prospects - starting with the quarterbacks and releasing a different position group each week. This week we look at the receiver class.
These are not complete scouting reports but some observations I’ve made so far. Enjoy
+ Positives and strengths
- Negatives or needs work
? Questions I still have, things I haven’t seen on tape yet
Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State, 6’4, 205
+ Brian Hartline says he’s the best receiver he has had at Ohio State (Olave, Wilson, JSN)
+ Taller than most NFL prospects at 6’4”
+ Huge catch radius
+ Goes over the top and high than defenders
+ NFL pedigree
- Doesn’t have elite speed, but fast for a 6’4 receiver
- Doesn’t do much after the catch as a runner
? Top speed, 40 time
Receptions: 77
Receiving Yards: 1263
Receiving Touchdowns: 14
Comp: Davante Adams
