With just over 48 hours to go, here’s the last intel from around the league.

  • No change at the top, fans. Caleb Williams will be the selection at No. 1 overall.

  • We’re hearing serious chatter from around the league that points to Jayden Daniels being the pick at No. 2 overall. One well-placed source said “it’s Jayden” when we asked who the pick would be at No. 2 overall. Now, we’ve been lied to before (remember the Mac Jones fiasco?), but this feels very solid. I’m 90 percent on Daniels to Washington.

  • The Patriots are keeping it very quiet at No. 3, which I think points to a few scenarios: They want to see which quarterback Washington takes before deciding on trade calls. Teams have no doubt already called New England and laid out parameters of a trade, but the Patriots can’t make that decision until it’s known who is off the board. My intel right now says the Patriots “stick-and-pick” and take Drake Maye.
