Putting together a Big Board is a huge part of what we all do as draft evaluators. We can thank Mel Kiper, Jr. for making them famous and coining the phrase we all use now to describe our individual rankings of players.
Kiper is the Godfather for starting the draft industry, but we’re aiming to take our big boards in a new direction.
Not only will you get our top five players at each position in a handy-dandy ranked format, but we’re telling you the dream fit for each player. Where do they fit best scheme wise? Where are they slotted for best value?
If you’re a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs it helps to know who the five best wide receivers are, but if you aren’t a diehard college football fan you really need to know which player best fits your scheme and your needs.
And that’s what we’re bringing today as we kick off a December schedule that is LOADED with new content coming almost daily.
There’s no better time to get going on draft season. Let’s get into it.
QUARTERBACKS
1. Caleb Williams, USC (Top Overall Selection)
Dream Fits: Chicago Bears, New York Giants, New England Patriots*
*Multiple teams listed are expected to have at least new offensive systems in place. Williams is a transcendent talent who will fit any scheme, but is at his best creating off platform.
