If your favorite NFL team has a need at quarterback, this is the year to get one. Yes, 2024 already looks great with Caleb Williams, Quinn Ewers and Drake Maye leading the class.
BUT, and this is very important, the 2023 draft features a high number of NFL teams who are already committed to quarterbacks. By 2023 we’ll likely see teams moving off of quarterbacks drafted in 2020 (Tua Tagovailoa and Jordan Love) and 2021 (Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Justin Fields, Mac Jones, Kyle Trask, and Davis Mills) as both starters and expected franchise players. Hell, we could even see the Pittsburgh Steelers replace Kenny Pickett by then (if not sooner).
The 2023 draft has teams that need a quarterback, for sure, but 2024 is a pivotal year as many teams will be making changes at quarterback. So let’s get into it. Who finds their franchise quarterback this year?
P.S.—Instead of using Tankathon for the draft order, we’re trying NFL.com’s order that takes into account future strength of schedule.
